HISTORY

Manufacture of glass in the Czech countries has always been inseparable. Historical results have been shown in the processing of glass in this area since the time of Celts, 2000 years before the beginning of the Christian era, although the first written records and evidence from the 60s to the tenth century are. The first industrial production of glass with glass factories in the Czech Republic dates back to the turn of the 13th and 14th century, as the first glass formed. These were built for strategic reasons in the unspoilt border regions - in the Jizera and Lusatian Mountains, Giant Mountains, Bohemian Forest and Moravia. Since the middle of the 14th century, the oldest Czech glass has made almost transparent glass origin and create it from cups, cups and church windows (later enriched by paintings), among others for the Roman emperor and Czech King Charles IV.
The famous era and fame Czech glashütte continues into the next period, which greatly encouraged Emperor Rudolf II, the magnificent products of Czech glassmakers recalled aristocratic cuisine, churches not only in the Czech lands. With the takeover of ever-increasing popularity in the world, Czech glass priority previously valued Venetian glass, which have already been pushed on the one hand, then it happened with English glass, mainly by the production of crystal glass, its unique color variations and cut Glass, and so the Czech glass has become a symbol of quality and creativity, in short, a worldwide phenomenon.
In 1900, the Czech glassmaker numerically portrayed at the world exhibition in Paris, where the glassmakers from Klostermühle received the highest award - the Grand Prix (Grand Prix). Impressive values ​​were also products of the Glashütte Harrachov in the New World, in Karlovy Vary and elsewhere.
The professional glass schools in Kamenický Šenov and Novy Bor, founded in 1856, recorded in 1920 the first Czech Glass School in Zelezny Brod and deserves the emergence of other important art centers of the development and manufacture of decorative and utility ceramics from glass in Bohemia.
In the twentieth century, automated technologies were developed for the production of table-glass, but the reputation of tradition and life-experience multiplied by the attraction of hand-painted decorated, honed and hand-painted glass in glass huts.
The production of crystal glass in the Czech Republic is very long tradition and even today still holds as the best in the world top quality.
Our products are pure craftsmanship: mouth blown, hand cut, hand decoration, hand engraving on 24% lead crystal or 18 carat gold editions by Degusa. Each of our glasses is a UNICAT.
